01. What is the age group of your students

Most of our students are between the 4 and 12 years old (Nursery to Primary 6) age group.

02. What is the name of the programme?

The programme is called “Read In A Week” phonics.

03. How and what do you teach?

We’ll get the child to “decode” letters into sounds and then do the blends. Children should begin to learn to read actual words by the 3rd lesson. After learning how to form 3 letter words they will be promoted to the next level where they will learn 4 letter words with 2 vowels in 4 lessons.

Subsequently, they’ll learn double, triple consonant blended words, diphthongs and diagraphs including multi-syllable words. Children will learn to break words into syllables and segments for advance reading and spelling skills. Reading is included in the programme. If the child knows phonics and does not know how to use it in his reading/spelling, the phonics he had learnt is ineffective. But ‘Read In A Week’ Phonics is a 3 in 1 programme: Phonics / Reading / Spelling.

04. How is your programme different from other programmes?

The “Read In a Week” is different from other programmes because it is a ‘3-in-1’ programme (phonics/reading/spelling). It is speedy, comprehensive, systematic and complete. It is easy for children to grasp. Through these 10 years of experience programme is met with more than 95% success.
